Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a degree-based healthcare profession. Physiotherapy integrates evidence based science and clinical based experience with the art of problem solving and creativity, making it a multi-faceted health care profession. You can benefit from Physiotherapy at any time in your life.

We offer Face to Face consultations and Remotely Accessible Physiotherapy appointments over the telephone or video link.

Physiotherapy assessments are carried out to establish the cause of your presenting problems. Your first appointment involves understanding your condition through questions and a thorough practical assessment, to establish a working diagnosis.

The practical assessment will require the Physiotherapist to look at your posture and how your spine and limbs move. Measurements are taken and handling techniques are used to feel the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, fascia & skin integrity throughout your assessment.

Once the assessment is complete, the Physiotherapist will explain what is happening, using various anatomical models and images. Through client education, SMART goal setting, evidence based and clinical based treatments, your rehabilitation programme is tailored to your individual circumstances and may include a number of different treatment techniques.

Any subsequent appointments, known as follow up sessions, involve an assessment element and then treatment to progress your rehabilitation. Whether acute or chronic, simple or complex you can rest assured that our team at “de Carle Physiotherapy” will enhance your knowledge and ability, empowering you to regain some control and we will support you to reach your optimal function.

At de Carle Physiotherapy we offer Paediatric Physiotherapy, Physiotherapy for Children. Further details of this service can be found within our Specialist Services page.
